15 Wed 19:33:09 adrian@a Our notes We have just confirmed this same issue happens with protocol 0021 (Ipv4) and this specific payload. So this is well within scope of IPStream.
15 Wed 19:31:24 Notes accepted
15 Wed 19:31:16 adrian@a Our notes We have done tests and can confirm that this happens with other PPP protocol identifiers other than 0057 (IPv6), and so is not an IPv6 specific issue. We tested with protocol 0075 and had the same result - truncated to 2 bytes when less than 75 bytes sent. So forget IPv6, this is a PPP issue.

15 Wed 16:51:33 adrian@a Our notes "Line tested ok by BT engineer at customer premises (Chargeable)" is a lie. (a) we did not order and SFI so not chargeable. (b) you said you were sending an engineer to the exchange not to premises anyway. (c) customer turned engineer away so engineer did NOT test at premises. (d) You don't have means to test for this fault anyway. DO NOT LIE TO US in order to charge for an SFI as doing so is CRIMINAL FRAUD.

14 Tue 17:26:17 adrian@a Our notes Stop picking random actions in an effort to fix this. Its an issue with the ERS RAS's. It affects not just this customer. The RAS almost certainly needs an IOS upgrade to fix this, and no amount of faffing about sending an openreach engineer to the exchange is going to achieve that.
14 Tue 17:25:28 Notes accepted
14 Tue 17:25:19 adrian@a Our notes I seriously doubt an openreach engineer can test this at the exchange. Do you even have facilities to send this type of packet. If you do, we are happy to arrange a test with the end user. If not, then what exactly are you asking the openreach engineer to test?

13 Oct 22:30:06 adrian@a Initial notes PPP Packets of 74 bytes or less using PPP protocol identifier 8057 are being corrupted in the direction of CP to EU. This is a core network fault affecting lines using ESR RASs. CISCO bug reference CSCsd13298. This applies even when CP and EU have defined that the IP layer is IPv4 (RFC791) using total header compression of the IPv4 header within PPP.
